The Wild Fish Project
Meet Jack, an ambitious young trader, and his mobile open air fish market. Jack Johns’ Wild Fish Project is joining us as a guest stall for January.
Fish have always played a big role in Jack’s life. His first job at 15 was on the fish counter at Waitrose near Marlow. Then he met a real fisherman through a mutual friend and ended up serving an apprenticeship with him, going out on his boat and helping him on his market.
Since branching out on his own two years ago Jack has brought all his fish fresh from that old friend in Dorset. It enables him to offer 50 varieties including cooked crab, smoked fish, shellfish, delicious plaice, bream, bass, brill, hake, trout and mackerel.
He runs stalls at markets in Surrey and Berkshire.
